First Sunday of Lent: Romans 10:8-17 (Audio)

Do our hearts break for the lost?

Romans 10 tells us that salvation is available to all who confess with their mouth and believe with their whole heart that Jesus is Lord and Savior, that His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead is not for certain people only, but for everyone.

There is a bit of a catch though: the people need to hear the message. They need to hear that they are caught in the bonds of sin and death, and that God created us to have freedom and life in Him. How can they hear the message though if we're not telling them?

Our churches, in trying to be culturally relevant, trendy, affirming, whatever you want to call it, largely have not proclaimed the gospel. They have abandoned preaching against sin and how God wants to free us from sin and not embrace it.

So if God's heart breaks for the lost, why doesn't ours?

Here is today's sermon. Take a listen and let me know what you think.
